What
we do
At MILLC we offer precision
remanufacturing services for critical subsystems used in semiconductor
processing equipment, as well as supporting our customers
spare parts needs with carefully selected components. Our commitment is to
provide better than OEM reliability and superior out of the box quality. Our
emphasis is on robots and wafer handling subsystems.
What does precision
remanufacturing mean?
Years of field experience
have taught us that any overlooked small detail can bring a mechanical assembly
to an untimely halt. Wafer handling systems for example, are mechanically the
most complicated portion of a process tool. The expectation is that they will
run without error for millions of cycles, downtime as well as scrapped product
are expensive reminders of poor quality or inconsistent methodology.
Consequently, specific technical knowledge, detailed assembly and testing
procedures, documented results as well as on-going training are required to
assure zero defects “out of the box” and achieve long term reliability. We also
carefully measure and test critical components and sub-subassemblies during the
remanufacturing process, not just after assembly.
Quality components
Coping with obsolete parts is
also part of the remanufacturing process as well as supporting our customers spare parts needs. Subtle changes in replacement
components can create intermittent problems, causing loss of productivity and
uptime or more critically, scrapped product. Replacement components must be carefully
selected and then qualified through extensive testing. All new components
receive burn in and cycle testing, simulating real world conditions as closely
as possible before they are released for remanufacturing use.
We specialize in remanufacturing
high precision assemblies such as robots and wafer handling systems. As a
smaller, more focused remanufacturing shop, worrying about the small details is
what differentiates us from our competitors.
